SNHS Clubs/Organizations
Sorsogon National High School (SNHS) hosts a diverse range of student-led clubs and organizations designed to foster leadership, environmental stewardship, and creative expression. Annual Events & Activities
Brigada Eskwela (also known as the National Schools Maintenance Week) is a collaborative community program in the Philippines. It brings together teachers, parents, students, and local volunteers to repair and clean public schools in preparation for the upcoming academic year.
World Teacher’s Day, held annually on October 5, is a global celebration dedicated to honoring the vital role teachers play in shaping the future. It’s a day to recognize their dedication, patience, and the profound impact they have on students and society at large.
The Work Immersion Culminating Activity is the “graduation” or final highlight of the Senior High School (SHS) program. It serves as a formal celebration where students showcase the skills, professional ethics, and practical knowledge they gained while working in a real-world industry environment.
The National Schools Press Conference (NSPC) is the highest and most prestigious journalism competition for elementary and secondary students in the Philippines. Established under Republic Act 7079 (the Campus Journalism Act of 1991), it aims to promote responsible journalism and hone the communication skills of young “campus journalists” across the country.
The National Science and Technology Fair (NSTF) is the Philippines’ premier science research competition for basic education students. Organized by the Department of Education (DepEd), it serves as a “talent pipeline” for young scientists to showcase original research, innovations, and creative solutions to real-world problems.
The National Festival of Talents (NFOT) is an annual DepEd-led event that serves as a nationwide “skills olympics” for Filipino learners. It is a major co-curricular activity where students from public and private schools, including those from the Alternative Learning System (ALS) and Special Needs Education (SNEd), showcase their best products, services, and performances.
The Palarong Pambansa (National Games) is the premier annual multi-sport event in the Philippines for student-athletes. Organized by the Department of Education (DepEd), it brings together the finest young talents from all 17 regions of the country to compete in various sporting disciplines.
